Preheat the barbecue or grill to medium-high heat (around 350-400°F or 175-200°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to create the marinade. (Alternative.. If using a pre-made marinade from BBQ Heaven please follow the package or bottle instructions)
Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the marinade and toss them to coat evenly. Let the wings marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
While the grill is heating up, you can prepare the wings for grilling. If you want to prevent sticking, lightly oil the grill grates or use a non-stick cooking spray.
Once the grill is ready, place the marinated chicken wings on the hot grill. Keep the lid closed to help cook the wings evenly.
Grill the chicken wings for about 15-20 minutes, turning them occasionally to cook all sides. The cooking time may vary depending on the heat of your grill, so keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
To check if the wings are done, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of a wing. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
Once the chicken wings are cooked through, remove them from the grill and place them on a serving platter.
Optionally, garnish with lemon wedges and fresh cilantro for a burst of citrusy flavor and a pop of color.
Serve the delicious grilled chicken wings hot, and enjoy them with your favorite barbecue sides and dipping sauces.
Note: Feel free to customize the marinade by adding your favorite herbs or spices to suit your taste preferences. You can also adjust the grilling time if you prefer your wings more or less charred. Enjoy your tasty barbecue chicken wings!
