Chimney & Pellet Stove Cleaning Services
Warmth by Design Inc. Stoves & Fireplaces provides cleaning services for both wood and pellet burning chimney systems. Also, if you require a full service cleaning for your wood stove, fireplace, pellet stove or pellet insert we will be happy to service these units for you as well.
Please contact us for rates and booking availability. Previous customers are placed on a list for yearly maintenance in the spring or summer to help avoid waiting time after September when the busy burn season begins.
Note: It is always a good idea to clean your chimney in the spring after the burning season.
- This helps prevent moisture from mixing into the soot and creosote, and forming sulphuric and hydrochloric acids that eat away at the chimney lining and cause odours to seep into the home.
- Chimneys should be inspected yearly to ensure there are no broken mortar joints or missing brick or cracked liners that require replacing. If there is a hairline crack in a clay liner there is a possibility of it rupturing and the heat escaping from it could set your home on fire.

What is a W.E.T.T. Inspection?
A W.E.T.T. inspection is the inspection of wood burning appliances before issuing insurance to the homeowner. A standard W.E.T.T. inspection includes a visual assessment of the components of a stove, fireplace, hearth and chimney to determine if they were installed safely and in accordance with building and fire code requirements.
Warmth by Design Inc. Stoves & Fireplaces offers both visual and written W.E.T.T. inspection reports for customers, which require proof for their insurance company.
